Councillor Josphat Waichahi Kiragu

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of CLLR. Josphat Kiragu Waichahi, which occurred on 16th February 2026 after a short illness.

Son of the late JosphatWaichahi Nduru and late Margaret Wangui Gachomo. He is brother of the late Consolata Wanjugu, Godfrey Gachomo, Philip Gikonyo, Jane Wakarima, Sophia Wothaya, Jimmy Munene and Jane

Loving husband of Susan Wanjiku Kiragu and devoted father of Anthony, Nancy, Samuel, Margaret, Elizabeth, and John. Loving grandfather of Ethan, Arianna Karl, Myles, Alani, Zayne, and Shayan. A loving uncle, friend, and mentor to many.

Burial arrangement meetings are held at his Utawala residence and Gatoyo in Eastleigh Section 3.

The burial date is set for 25th February 2026 at his rural home in Kagonye. Othaya in Nyeri County.
