Diana Awino Okal Ochanda

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Diana Awino Okal Ochanda of Kisui village, Mbita sub county of Homabay County which occurred on 22nd April, 2021 at aramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kisumu.

Daughter of the late John Okal, the late Elizabeth Akelo. Step-daughter of Beatrice Owino of Karachuonyo Sub-county. Loving wife of John Peter Ochanda (MOICT – Kisumu). Mother of Miguel Ochanda and Joshua Odundo (Makini School Kisumu). Sister of Zedeklah Okal, Anthony Okal, Zilper Okal and Beverly Okal. Step-sister of Rolex Okal, Evance Okal and Glen Okal.

Daughter-in-law of the late Joshua Ochanda, Milka Odundo Ochanda, Edwin Marera Ochanda, Dr. Newton Wayoga (USA), Grace Ochanda, Joseph Wayoga and Mary Wasonga. Sister-in-law of Victor Owuor (USA), the late Joyce Ochanda, Betsy Odundo (USA), Beryl Akello (USA), Anne Wayoga, Albert Ochanda, Nicholas Ochanda Jesse, Corazon, Kimberly, Dick, Mahalon, Margaret, Linet, Gladys, Elizabeth, Edward Odundo (MKU), Loice, Trine, George Best, Nancy, Florence, jackline, Diana Maryline and many others.

Auntie of Erick Omedo, Rose Odundo, Joshua Ochieng’, Turrell Odundo, Twainne Omondi and Jayden Otieno. Granddaughter of the late Oyaa Obala, the late Diana Awino Nyakidi, James Ondoro, Zilpah Aluoch, Kings Wayoga, Goretty Wayoga, the late Mahalons Athanasio Owuor and the late Hannah Akumu Ochanda.

The burial will be on Monday 3rd May, 2021 at Kisui village, Mbita Sub-county of Homabay County.
