Doreen Bosibori Abuya

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Doreen Abuya of Kenya Bureau of Standards which occurred on 30th December, 2022 after a short illness bravely borne.

Daughter of Mark Abuya and Rachael Nyaboke. God-daughter to Florence Kwamboka. Sister to Lydia Morangi, Caroline Moraa, Nancy Nyamunsi, Paul Ochumi, Christine Moraa, Melissa Claire and Angel Kerubo.

Doreen and Patrick Gathiyia were blessed with two children, James Mwai (Jimmy) and Marc Abuya to whom she was a loving and devoted mother.

Auntie to Rachel Kemunto, Imani Wanjiru, Giovanni Abuya, Bakhita Mokeira, Monica Adhiambo, Michelle Arua and Haisley Nyaboke. Niece and friend to many.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching, Research and Referral Hospital Funeral Home at 3.00pm on Wednesday, 4th January, 2023 for Holy Mass and a wake at her parent’s home in Outering estate.

The Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Buruburu I Catholic Church on Thursday. 5th January, 2023 at 10.00am. This will be followed by burial at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Those who believe are never alone, neither in life nor in death.
