Dr. Jesca Kharono Kola
1953 – 2026
We regret to announce the death of Dr. Jesca Kharono Kola, which occurred on Sunday 18th January 2026.
She was the loving wife of Rev. Canon David Owala Kola, and mother of Janice, Agnes, Moses, Emmanuel, Steven and Peter. Grandmother of Clyde, Fredrick, Kwe, Hera, David, Daniel, Mylei, Kaylie, Jayden, Jasmine, Jordan and Jupiter.
Daughter of the late Nicholas Festus Masera and the late Elsie Khaintsa Masera. Sister of the late Phoebe Kharunda, Florence Mutonyi, the late Joy Wenyisa, the late Sam Mataki, the late Sarah Nekesa, Fred Kibeti, and the late Rebecca Nalubooka.
Sister-in-law of the late Prisca Gumba, Meresia Opiyo Okach, Habakkuk Obugo Kola, the late Ezekiel Otieno Kola, Damaris Adoyo Amolo, the late Amon Okoyo, the late George Samwel Odhiambo, the late Benta Obugo-Kola, Caroline Kola and Pamela Obugo-Kola.
Aunt of the late Rael Anyango, the late Onesmus Onam, Anne Achieng, Lilian, Susan, Mark, George, Dorcas, Hannah, Noel, Maxwell, Dickens, Mary, Alex, Mary Okatch, Pauline, Deborah, Isaac, Steve Musimbi and others.
Daughter in law of the late Agnes Awuor Kola and the late JKola Okuma.
Mother in love of Salma, Immaculate, Beryl, Mercy and Irene.
A requiem service will be held at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Kisumu on Friday, 30th January, 2026 followed by the burial on Saturday 31st January 2026 in Kalek Village, Lower Kombewa Sub-location, Seme Sub-county of Kisumu County.
