Dr. Olivia Achieng’ Opere

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Olivia Achieng’ Opere of Kenyatta University, Department of Educational Foundations, which occurred on 18th March 2026 at Avenue Hospital.

She was the beloved mother of Laurette Omulo, Tessie Omulo, and Shadrack Onyango; daughter of the late Mr. Eli Opere and Mrs. Tabitha Opere; sister of Millicent Odhiambo, Grace Kapere, and Kenneth Opere; and a cherished aunt and cousin to many.

Prayer meetings and a fundraiser will be held at the family home in Embakasi, Simba Villas Estate, on Sunday, 12th April 2026 at 2 pm.

The funeral service will take place at Maxwell SDA Church on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026 at 2:30 pm and the burial will take place on Friday, 24th April 2026, at Mirogi, Homabay County.
