It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Duke Onsinyo Matara.

Loving son of ClIr. Joel Matara Mwencha and Jane Moraa Matara (Principal Chief — Nyamira County of Ting’a village, Nyambogo Sub-Location, North Kitutu Location, Manga Sub- County. Loving brother of Susan Kerubo Matara (Australia), Duncan Matara (Kisii Eye Hospital), Esther Kwamboka (Nyamira County Hospital and Mercy Matara. Nephew of the Late Haron Mweberi, Samwel Mwencha, Ambassador Erastus Mwencha, Stephen Mwencha and the Late Zablon Mwencha, Evans Kimoni, Elkana Osinde, Prof. Dan Kiage,Tom Omao, the Late Gilbert, Mosedanai Mose, George Nyakundi (Australia) and Kepha Mose.

Cousin of Mweberi’s, Marasi’s, Onkundi’s, Machuki’s, Ondieki’s and Elkana’s and others. His aunts include the Late Esther Mweberi and the late Mary Mwencha, Mary Onkundi, Hebisiba Machuki and Florence Ondieki. Grandchild of the Late Nehemiah Marasi, Esther Kwamboka, Elkana Mose Achira and the Late Teresa Mose, Kimoni, Ombuki, Monda, James Gekombe, Peterson Nyakeri and Osinde Marasi, Monari, John, Rebecca Ochwang’i Nyagucha, Salome Onsongo Mweberi, Cllr. Ongwae Mweberi and others.

The body lies at Level 6 Hospital Mortuary, Kisii. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his parents’ home Ting’a Village, Nyamira County.

There will be a Funds collection on Thursday 11th February, 2021 at Flamingo Hotel, Kisii and Ting’a Home.

Burial will be on Sunday 14th February, 2021.
