It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of our beloved Mother Efarina Mideva Lumire of Hakedohi Village, Solongo Sub-location,Vihiga County, on 1st June, 2019 at Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu.

Wife of the late Chief Peter Lumire Gunyanyi. Loving mother of Dr. Ebby Madera (Psychometrician Ontario Govt — Toronto Canada), the late Daniel Amugune, Gertrude Chavera (Head Teacher Maga Primary School), Alfred Lumire (Principal Regis School Runda),Violet Lumire (Principal Idavaga Secondary School), Nebert Lumire (Deputy Principal Kapsotik Secondary School), Shallolyne Lumire (Musa Gitau Primary School), Eng. George Gunyanyi (Steel Tech Engineers), Eng. Douglas Aswani (Lamson Engineering Ltd), Nelson Mugaji (Coca Cola Mombasa),Walter Musumba and Linet lgunza (Dura Coat Paints, Nairobi).

Mother-in-law of Prof. Samson Madera (UBC Canada), Hezbon Vidah, Marsyden Madzigulu (Thogoto Teachers College), Anne Gidali (Mirithu Girls High School), Susan Mwika (Principal St. James Namamba Girls), Clara Mwika (Mary Hill Girls – Thika), the late Roselyne, Lydia Aswani (Kenya Technical Teachers College Nairobi), Adelide Mugaji and Kevina Musumba.

A doting Grandmother of Celestine, Nickson, Patrick, Brigid, Garry, Sylvia, Naomi, Collins, Ephy, Caleb, Eva, Dr. Elizabeth, Steve, Faith, Isaac, Oscar, Caro, Sheila, Laureene, Brilliant, Mercy, Velma, Dr. Hilda, Churchill, Kelvin, Valentine, Brenda, Sandra, Tracy, Ian, Emmanuel, Melody, Peter, Silas, Loice, Evelyne, Clarence, Riana, the late Patience, the late Fortune, Keyden, Jason, Tiffany, David, Sharleen, Eng. Tom, Catherine, Jacinta, Ancieta, Maryanne, Sanches, Bravin, Lavin, Terry, Craig, Lincy, Ivy and Lennis. Great grandmother of 25. Sister of Epainito, Kazarina, Nandiemo, Esther and Jenniffer.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Mortuary Kisumu on Thursday, 13th June, 2019 at 10:00am to her home in Hakedohi Village.

Burial will take place on Saturday 15th June, 2019 at her home in Hakedohi Village, Solongo Sub-location, Vihiga County.
