Elder Daniel Obare Maina

It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the demise of Elder Daniel Obare Maina which occurred at Oasis Specialist Kisii on Tuesday 29th March, 2022, after a long illness.

Son of the late Maina Mitieka and Bathseba Kwamboka of Ibacho (Mokobokobo).

Step son to late Nyambuche, late Kerubo and Bosibori. He was son in-law to the late Hosea Mwebi and Maria Banchiri of Mogonga Village (Masabo/ Gesusu).

Husband to Orpha Kemunto (Ogake). Father to Pamela and the late Josiah Masita, Duncan and Winnie, Irene and Dr Oresi & Kelvin and Sarah. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren.

Brother to Nyarieko, Kereni, Jennifer, Mirera, Oira, Kemunto, Ontita, Teresa, late Okirigiti, late Nyaboke, John Nyarieko, Danvas, Joyce, Alex, Carren and the late Nyaboke.

Brother in-law to Ann, Yunuke, Joyce, Teresa, Janet, Gladys, late Joseph, Joel, Nyagwachi, late Mongina, Moraa, late Elizabeth, Lucia, Kemuma, Yuness, Omwenga and late Atambo.

He was Korera to late Masita, late Obare, Oresi, and Ngere. Semo to late Osero, Omote, and late Oyaro.

Nephew to Motanya, Mokeira, and Obonyo. Cousin to Ombuna’s, Maisiba’s, Nyangwara’s, Osoro’s, Nyachae’s, Nyangate’s, Osero’s, Getange’s and Mosigis’s.

Uncle to Dr. Abel, Oira, Ratemo, Kimaiga, Mobisa, Richard, Mariita, Janet among others.

The body leaves KTRH Mortuary on Thursday 7th April 2022 for an overnight stay at his home. Funeral service will be held on Friday 8th April, 2022 at his home Mokokobo Village (Ibacho), Kisii County.
