Elder Margaret Wambui Gathoga

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Eider Margaret Wambui Gathoga of PCEA Matimbei Church on 21st October 2025. Margaret worked with the Ministry of Health, Kiambu County.

She was beloved wife of Rtd Elder Jonathan Gathoga and daughter of the late Peter Muroko and Late Hannah Wanjiku. She was a doting mother of Carolyne Wanjiku and Eric Kori, Simon Kimani and Margaret Wanjiru, Elder Ruth Wanjiru and Peter Kamweru, Rahab Nduta and Joseph Kangethe and Gladys Wanjiku and Anthony Njoroge.

Sister of Late Njeri, Late Wateri, Wanjiru, Wakonyo, Njuguna,Gituku and Muroki.

She was sister-in-law of Kagwe, Wango, Kimingi, Late Nduta, Karanja,Wangari and Njuru.

She was loving grandmother of Abby, Leo, Wambui, Wangari, Njeri, Gathoga, Lace Jonathan, Kelly, Prudence, Chelsea, Dennis, Eric, Nganga, Naomi, Josephine & Gathoga. She was great grandmother of Shiro, Kimani & others.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at her home in Matimbei, Lari Sub County, Kiambu County,

The cortege will depart from Mukoe Funeral Home on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, at 9:00 followed by a church service and final send-off at her home in Matimbei
