It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Elder Peter Mokaya Swanya, who went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2025, at his home in Riamisia Village.
Elder Peter is the son of the late Swanya Nyagesero and the late Mama Ester Kwamboka Swanya.
Mzee Mokaya was the husband of the late Rosaria Mokaya and father of Helen, John Swanya (KRA) Jane. Julia, Esther, Jackton, Jelia, Lydya, Rael, and Josphat. Nephew of the late Rainis, Machiras, Mathweres, Mayiekas, among others.
Brother of the late Joseph Ogeto Swanya, the late Elija Omboyo Swanya, the late Jones Omboyo Swanya, Mokaya Swanya, and Adv. Wickliffe Swanya (Swanya & Swanya Advocates), the late Mong’inas, Martha, Prisla, Nyachoka, Eunice, among others.

Mzee Mokaya will be laid to rest after a Church Service at Riamisiani SDA Church from 9,00 am on the 6th June 2025 at Rural Home Remisiani Village.
