It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the Maneno Family, announce thepromotion to Glory of Emmy Chepkirui Rono on 23rd June 2025 in Kampala, Uganda. Emmy was an employee of African Development Bank, Uganda Field Office.
Daughter of Mr. Moses Rono and Mrs. Bornes Rono of Kiptere, Sigowet-Soin Sub County. Loving Sister of Evalyne Rono, Evans Cheruiyot, Edna Rono, the late Edwin Rono and Edward Cheruiyot. Sister in-law of Beatrice Cheruiyot and Joram Mbui; Aunt of Kalya, Kigen, Ryan, Natalie, Zuri, Ashely & Austin.
Niece of the late Zakayo Rono, the late Mary Chumo, Daniel Rono, the late Sarah Koskei, Isaiah Rono, Jeremiah Rono, Rachel Yaem, Dr. Joseph Mutai, the late Dr. John Mutai, David Mutai, Lily Tonui, Beatrice Chirchir, Frank Mutai amongst many others. Cousin and a friend of many.
Grand-daughter of the late Maneno Arap Chepkwony, the late Mama Grace Chepkwony, the late Ezekiel Tonui and the late Eunice Tonui.
Relatives and Friends are meeting daily at the Nairobi and Kericho Home to plan for the funeral.
A fundraising to assist defray funeral expenses will be held at Kericho home on Wednesday 9th July 2025 starting at 2.00PM.
A Funeral Service in her memory will be held on Wednesday 9th July 2025 at Nairobi Central SDA Church starting at 9.00am.
Emmy will be taken back home to Kericho on Thursday, 10th July 2024 for an overnight stay to be followed by Funeral Service and Burial ceremony on Friday 11th July 2025.
