It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Eng. Joseph and Mrs. Margaret Omido on Saturday, 27th September 2025.

Eng. Joseph (Jay) Lugadiru Omido, CEO of Stewar Limited, was the son of the late Humphrey Lugadiru Omido and the late Mary Ayuma Omido of Ndalu, Kitale. Jay was husband of the late Margaret (Maggie) Omido née Mutua and father of Mgasu Kihanwa and Vuyanzi Mudeizi Lugadiru, and Claudia Mwemba. Brother of Babu and Beverly Omido, Ella Chimbiru, Dr-Josephine and Donald Odera, Willy (deceased) and Janet Omido, Violet Omido (deceased), Dr. Ken and Nancy Salamba, Marlon and Beatrice Lugadiru. Uncle of Virginia and Paul James, Van and Kristi Williams,Tamar and Kavon Ohara; Nelson and Eva Odera, Lugadiru and Awori Odera; Lugadiru, Ayuma and Tyler Omido; Nathan Masidza; Lilaga Salamba; Amani, Agasa, Asangara and Yanza Lugadiru among others. Grandson of the late Jairo and Sayo Omido and Jeremiah and Rebekka Masidza. Nephew of Hon. Fred Omido, Angehi Jahonga, Salima Omido, Zibeon Kikuyu, Emmy Mwelesa, Chief Aggrey Masidza among others.

Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Kavuu Omido, an employee of Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), was the daughter of Harrison Mutua Ngila and the late Alice Mutua, of Kimutwa, Machakos Maggie was wife of the late Eng. Joseph (Jay) Lugadiru Omido and loving mother of Mgasu Kihanwa and Vuyanzi Mudeizi Lugadiru. Sister of Judy and Felix Kamunde, Joselyne Mukui, Sharon Nduku, Florence Wavinya, Maureen and Joshua Muoki. Aunt of Michelle Amani; Shaun and Chantal Kamunde; Allan, Wairimu and Wanjohi Kiiru; Dennis and Sarah Nduku; Suri Imam Muoki, Anna and George Kashimiri. Granddaughter of the late Ngila Nthungu and Nduku Ngila and Mbithi Muindu and Kamene Mbithi, Margaret was niece of Prof. Philip Mbithi and the late Phyllis Mbithi, late Daniel and Phylles Kithuka, Pst. Patrick and Christine Mbithi, Peter and Josephine Muasya, late John and Bernedetta Nzuve, Morris and Jane Mbithi, Stephen and the late Elizabeth Mbithi, Rosemary Mbithi, Rev. Simon and Rev. Joyce Ngao, Rev. Ben and Pst. Stella Mbithi, Pst. Barnabas and Francisca, Rev.
