Felix Mutero Gichuhi

Born 1920 – Rested 8 September 2018

We, the family of Felix Mutero Gichuhi, thank God for the life of our father who has passed on after 98 years. He hailed from Kamune, Mathioya Sub-County, Murang’a County.

Husband of Mrs. Helinah Wambui Mutero. Father of Dr. James Gichuhi Mutero, Prof. Eunice Wanjiru Mutitu, Prof. Lucy Wangechi Kabuage, Prof. Clifford Maina Mutero, Wycliffe Kariuki Mutero, the late Richard Mwangi Mutero, Caroline Njoki Mutero, Princess Mwende Leja, Ronald Irungu Mutero, Josphine Wakarindi Mutero and Simon Mugo Mutero. Brother of James Kariuki Gichuhi, the late Caroline Muthoni and the late Josephine Wakarindi.

Father-in-law of Eng. Crispus Mutitu, Eng. Samuel Kabuage, Joan Mutero, Joy Mutero, Agatha Mutero, John Leja and Anne Mugo. Grandfather of Wambui, Njeri, Wanjiru, David, Peter, the late John, James, Shawn, Maurice, Michael, Wangare, Josh, Waihiga, Noni, Wambui, Wanjiru, Tesh, Victor, George, Njeri, Wambui, Wangari and Wangeci; and great-grandfather of many.

Family and friends will meet for prayers at St. Mark’s Church, Westlands on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 September from 5pm, and daily at his home in Kamune.

Details of the funeral service and interment will be announced later.

He will be remembered for his excellent service of many years to agricultural extension in Muranga County, and to the educational sector and the church in his community.

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord,”…With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Ps 91:14, 16.
