Francis Wainaina Mutungi

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Francis Wainaina Mutungi, who peacefully transitioned on 9 May, 2025.

He was the beloved husband of Mercy Wanjiru Wainaina.

Loving father of Susan Wacheke and Christine Wambui.

Cherished grandfather of Carlin Mercy Wanjiru.

Francis was the son of the late Evanson Mutungi Kamau and the late Susan Waceke Mutungi.

Son-in-law of the late David Kamonaia Kamau and Mary Wambui Kamondia.

He was a dear brother of Nellie Nyamathwe and the late Peter Kinyanjui, Peter Kamau Mutungi and Mary Njoki, Peris Wanjiku and the late James Makumi, Stephen Mburu Mutungi and Jane Wanjiku, the late Peninah Wanjiru and Peter
Munene, the late Robert Mungai Mutungi, the late Agnes Wambui and Anne Wanjiru, Esther Njeri and Robert Ndungu, Mary Wambui Mutungi, Catherine
Kibui and the late David Githere.

Brother-in-law of Faith Kamondia, Jane and George Njenga, Alice and Mark Wainwright, and Rose Kamondia.

Funeral Arrangements:

Family and friends are meeting daily for funeral planning and fellowship at his residence in Karura Kanyungu from 3:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, 16 May 2025, at ACK St. Mark’s Mukui at 11:00 AM.
