George Mundia Gicheru (Ofithaa)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of George Mundia Gicheru (Ofithaa} former-councilor Iriani ward, Mathira Nyeri County.

Son of the late Eustace Gicheru Cubu, and late Jerioth Gacambi Gicheru.

Husband of Hall VVairimu Mundia. Father of, Robert Maina, Jerioth Njambi (King`ong’o prison), Mary Muthoni, Peter Karori, and Ephantus Matimu (Mombasa).

Brother of Mary Wanjiru, Peter Matimu, late Mwangi Gicheru, late Duncan Gatoto, late David Waruingi, Jane Gathoni, Penninah Njeri, late Margaret Wairimu. He is a grandfather and a great grandfather of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at his residence Mathia, next to Ndima tea factory, from 4.00 pm for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege will leave Jamii Funeral Home Karatina on Friday 27th June 2025 at 8:30 am. There after burial ceremony will be held at PCEA Mathia Church from 10:00 am., there after he will be laid to rest at his home, opposite Mathia Primary school.
