It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we r announce the passing on of Mr. Harry Kiplangat Cheruiyot of Koptebon village, Lalagin sub location, Litein ward, Bureti sub-county, Kericho County.
He was the fifth child of the late Jonah Misoi and the late Eunice Miser.
Husband of Esther Cheruiyot. They are blessed with seven children namely; Bernard Langat (HOI Chorwet Primary School, Jackline Cheruiyot (DHOI ltoik Primary School), Leonard Langat, John Langat (Delta Electricals), Davis Langat, Geoffrey Langat and Peter Langat.
Brother of the late Anna Mutai (Kipkelion), the late Rebecca Chepngeno, Susan Tergech (Amerika Kapkarin), the late Willis Cheruiyot (Litein), the late Charles Cheruiyot, Alice Maro (Hata, Tana River), the late Alfred Cheruiyot (Boito), the late Richard Cheruiyot, the late Jonathan Cheruiyot and Mary Bunei.
Father-in-law of Prisca Langat, Peter Cheruiyot, Caroline Langat (St. Joseph), Annette Harry Kiplangat Langat (Equity Bank) and Judy Langat (Lalagin Junior Sec).
Son-in-law of the late Sigira Chepkwony and the late Grace Chepkwony.
He was a brother-in-law of the late Obot Alice, Sally Kalya, Norah Chebole, Elizabeth Tiony, Daniel Sigira and the late Priscilla Sang. Also a brother-in-law of the late Leah, Rusy, Esther; Hon. Lilian and Ruth.
Grandfather of Joan, Ian, Frazer, Eileen, Beryl, Kevin, Kefa, Brian Levis, Jeyden, Noela, Benjamin,Valentine, Shaniz and Abel.
He was an uncle of John Tonui (DCC), Geoffrey Korir (USA), Geoffrey Mutai (Chair Both Soda Association), Nick Maro (KCB), the late Geoffrey Rono, Collins Koech, Edgar Towett (Former Chief of Staff),Vincent Rotich (Tenwek Hospital), Floyd Towett (Australia) and many others.
Funeral arrangements are ongoing.
The fundraiser to defray the funeral expenses will be held on Saturday 15/11/2025 as from 2.00pm, at Koptebon Village, Litein.
The cortege will leave Lazarus Funeral Home on Monday 17/11/2025, at 1.00pm for his Koptebon home for a memorial service and )overnight vigil. The funeral service will be on Tuesday 18/11/2025 at home Koptebon village, Litein from 9.00am.
