We regret to announce the death of Honourable “Mwalimu” Grace Aluanga, on Friday, January 23, 2026.
She was the daughter of the late Zablon Lisunu and the late Jenniffer Olukaka. Daughter-in-law to the late Alwanga Otnuyonga and the late Nereya Amukonyi. Sister to the late Emily ‘DC’, Phylis Nandwa, the late Amos Matendechere, the late David Omusula and Donald Olumasal.
Wife of the t]late Wycliffe Aluartga, Beloved mother of Judy, Geoffrey, Nelly, Morris, Dennis, Humphrey Slade, Hellen and Lillian. Mother-in-law to Leonard, David, Wendy, Won and Pablo. Doting grandmother, great-grandmother, cherished aunt and friend to many.
Family and friends will meet at All Saints Cathedral Church on Tuesday January 27, 2026, from 5.00pm.
A memorial service will be held at All Saints Cathedral Church on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2.00pm.
The cortege will leave Nairobi on Thursday, January 29, 2026, for her home In Mabole, Butete constituency. The funeral service Will be held on Saturday, January 3112026, at Mabole Prtmary School from 9.00am, followed by burial at her home.
