Ian Mutuma Kimathi Mutuerandu (Tuma)

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Ian Mutuma Kimathi of University of Nairobi, School of Architecture and Built Environment which occurred on 27th May 2025, at Nairobi West Hospital in Nairobi. He hailed from Giuti sublocation, Chure Location,AbogetaWestWard,Abogeta Subcounty, Meru County.

Tuma was the cherished son of Kimathi Mutuerandu and Alice Kagwiria Kimathi. He was brother of Tracy Kinya Muriuki and Fridah Nkatha Kimathi he was brother in law of Kelvin Muriuki Mpungu. Uncle of Nathan Mwenda,Isaac Munene and Josie Kanana. Grandson of Harriet Mutuerandu and Janet Karemu.

Nephew to Simon and Debora Muthamia, Simon and late Julia Mbogo, George and Barbra Kinoti of Switzerland, Antony Mwiti, Peter and Lucy Gaceri Gitonga, Lucy Bondi , Simon Karemu of CBK and Nancy Muthomi, Catherine Wahome, High Commissioner, UK, Eva Nkatha, Timothy and Connie Mutwiri and Pamela Kanana.

Friends and family are meeting for prayers at PCEA ST Andrews’ church on 3rd June 2025 to 5th June 2025 from 5:00 PM.

There will be a memorial service at PCEA St Andrews’ Church on Thursday the 5th June 2025 at 2:00 PM.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home,Mbagathi Way,at 5.00AM on Saturday 7th June 2025 for funeral service at Agricultural Training Center Kaguru starting at 10:00am and thereafter interment at the family’s Kaguru farm.
