Ifigenia Muthoni Kiura Kwenja

It is with profound grief and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Ifigenia Muthoni Kiura at MP Shah Hospital on Sunday 29th June 2025, after a long illness.

Wife of Bernard Kiura Kwenja of Nguviu Village.

Daughter of the late Waweru Wagikuri and the late Nicera Kina.

Beloved mother of Martin Ndwiga (Businessman), Rosaline Mukami (Postbank Hq). Bernard Njue (UNICEF-Zambia), Lenson Kiura (US), Christine Kiura (OCHA, Nairobi) and Charles Munene (Social Policy Consultant).

Beloved mother-in-law of Daisy Mwendia (Ireland), Martin Gikunda,Wacheke Niue (WFP), Carol Abai (US), David Igweta (HF Group) and Margaret Munene (KRA).

Doting grandmother of Kevan, Mwambia, Dennis, Frida Mwendwa (late), Brian,Tichina, Neema, Njeri, Noah, Naila, Nolan, Nate, Mukiama,Thagara, Mutaari, Karim, Melissa, and Amylena.

She was a sister of the late Charles Nyaga Kang’auro, late Maitha, Njogu, Njega and Kavuri. She was an auntie, cousin, and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Nguviu Village – Embu, and at All Saints Cathedral Church from Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th and Monday 7th to Wednesday 9th July 2025 from 5:30 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on Friday 11th July 2025 at 07.00 am for farewell mass at St. John’s Catholic Church – Kathangariri from 10:00am, followed by final burial rites at her rural home in Nguviu Village, Manyatta Constituency, Embu County.
