James Njenga Mungai

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on to glory of our beloved James Njenga Mungai which occurred on 30th December 2025 after a short illness bravely born.

Son of the late John Mungai Kabage and the late Jane Waithera Mungai.

Loving husband of Grace Wanjira Mungai. Loving father of Jane Waithera Mungai, John Mungai Njenga, Anne Mungai Thairu, Cynthia Mungai Kihara and Lisa Meho. Father-in-law of Wangari Mungai, George Thairu Kamau and James Mwangi Kihara. Dotting grandfather of Kevin James Mungai, Sammy Kyle Chifallu, Jonathan Kamau Thairu, James NjenzaThairu, jayden Jamil Meho, Hayley Nadine Meho, Gracie Wanjira Mungai, Dylan Ndungu Kamau, Katelyn Wamaitha, Hope Wanjira, Jason Martin Thairu, Jibril Meho, Nahia Gow and Matthew Njenga Mwangi.

Brother of the late Francis Miringu Mungai, the late APK Mungai, the late David Nganga Mungai,Agnes Wanjiru Njoroge, the late George Nyaga Mungai and Elizabeth Muthoni Mungai.

Son in law of the late Peter Mathagu Njagi and the late Jane Muthoni Njagi. Brother in law of Patrick Gichobi and Wanjiru Gichobi, the late Patrick Njeru and Loise Nduta Njeru and Florence Kuthii Njagi. Loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.

There will be a requiem mass at St Austin’s Church, Msongari today Monday 5th January 2026 at 12 noon.

The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday 7th January 2026 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Kiambaa, Kiambu at 10 am followed thereafter by the interment at the family farm.
