It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mrs Jane Wangari Mungai of Redhill, Limuru, on Thursday 30th October 2025.
She was a devoted wife of Captain/Eng Johnniekskie Mungai.
Jane was daughter of the late Peter Ngugi Karichu, Eunice Wanjiru Ngugi and Rahab Wambui Ngugi of Ngarua. Laikipia West.
She was a doting mother of Connie Kabura, Cynthia Mungai Gituku and Arnold Mungai of Ethiopian Airlines. Mother in law of Stephen Gituku of Strathmore University.
She was a dear sister of John Ngugi and elder Phyllis John, the late Paul Mburu and Margaret Loreen, Sammy Kamau and Lucy Kamau, William Ngigi and Julia Ngigi. Step-sister of Stephen Karichu and Alice Teru, Arthur Kago and Elder Viginia Kago, Edward Mburu, Mary Wambui, Anne Njeri, Margaret Wahu and Nelson Karichu.
Sister in law of Edith Njeri Maganzo, the late Vincent and Mary Ndirangu, James and Irene Wagema, the late Anita Nduta, Ken Ndirangu, Ken and Cecilia Mbugua, Rose and Mbuthia.
A loving grandmother of Millane, Misha, Edward, Eron, Eran, Jordan, Emmanuel, Leroy, and joy among others.Auntie to many.
There will be a memorial service at Mamlaka Hill Chapel-City Campus, opposite Nairobi Primary School, on Wednesday 5th November 2025 at 9.30 am.
The cortege will leave Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home, Raila Odinga Way, formerly Mbagathi Way, on Thursday 6th November 2025 at 7.00 am for a funeral service at St. James Catholic Church, Redhill from 10.00 am. Burial will be at the family residence in Redhill.
