John Aggrey Ocholla Cods

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Aggrey Ocholla Cods on Wednesday 24/08/2022 at Kombewa District Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

He was the first Kenyan Branch Manager of East African Airways and later Kenya Airways in Nairobi, New York and London respectively.

Son of Athanasio Odera and Dorina Akong’o, Plista Obala and Consolata Owenga of Seme Kombewa Kisumu County.

Brother of Job Cods, the late Blasto Ogada Odera, the late Dixon Ogelo Gumba, the late David Olang’o Cods, Lucy Odera, Susan Odera, Samson Odera, Gideon Odera, Kennedy Odera, Karen Odera, Peter Odhiambo among others.

Husband of the late Jane Olilo and Monica Aoko.

Father to the late Nikita Cods, Roswitha Cods, Elly Ajowi, Maurice Ouko, Dorine Akong’o, Owen Apunda and Caroline Adhiambo.

Brother-in-law to Mary Matare Ogada, Mary Akumu Ogada, Ruth Phoebe Odera, the late Phelistas Olang’o, Elizabeth Akinyi, Edna Cods, Margaret Cods, Joan Odera and Irene Akong’o.

Uncle to Jane Ogada, Amos Ogada, Pamela Ogada, Hagar Ogada, Elizabeth Ogada, Lucy Ogada, Wilfred Odera, Rhoda Ogada, Adam Nyigwayo, Dorina Ogada, Collins Odera, Cynthia Odera, Catherine Odera, Christopher Ngenyber, Vincent Odera, Waat Wawa, Oscar Olang’o, Ido Olang’o, Richard Cods, Dorina Cods, Diana Cods among others and a beloved grandfather to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Kodera Home.

Burial will be on Saturday 10/9/2022 at Seme Kombewa, Kombam Village-Kanyigwayo.
