We are sad to announce the death of John Njihia Kanyotu of Ruiru Close, Section 58, Nakuru at the Nairobi Hospital after a long period of illness borne with great fortitude.

Son of the late Daniel Kanyotu wa Mitambo and the late Waithira wa Kanyotu of Subukia, Nakuru County. Step son of the late Kigathi wa Kanyotu. Son-in-law of the late Joseph Mbugua and the late Naomi Wanjeri also of Subukia, Nakuru County. Beloved husband of Susan Mukami Njihia, formerly Lay Leader, ACK Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Nakuru. Beloved father of Alice Waithira, Patrick Njugi, Nelson Mbugua and Emily Wanjeri. Beloved father-in-law of Samuel Kaara Mugweru,Angela Murugi and Richard Waithaka Mburu. Doting granddad of Mugweru and Njihia Kaara; Makena and Mukami Njugi; Nyambura and Kamau Waithaka. Brother of Paul Muigai, Nyambura wa Kamau, Anna Wanjiku and William Kariuki. Step- brother of the late Wanjiru wa Bedan, Wanjiku wa Mburu, Wangari Kanyotu and Teresia Kahungu. In-law of many.

Funeral arrangement meetings are taking place at the Njihia family residence Ruiru Close, Section 58 Nakuru daily from 5.00pm. There will be meetings at the Holy Family Basilica, Nairobi: Friday 7th – 6pm and Saturday 8th – 2pm. There shall be a major fundraising to defray hospital and other costs on Sunday 9th April 2017 from 2.00p.m at the Njihia residence in Nakuru.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 12th April 2017. The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home Nakuru at 9am for the funeral service at ACK Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd and interment will follow immediately thereafter at the Nakuru North Cemetery.

In memory of a life so beautifully lived, a heart so deeply loved! Koma thayu Baba witu. AMEN.
