Johnson Kibor Korir

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance we the Kapchelabul family announce the passing of Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and formerly Director Kenya National Police Deposit Taking SACCO Mr. Johnson Kibor Korir on September 25, 2025.

Johnson Korir was the loving son of the late Mr. Kipkorir Chepkwony and Mrs Grace Tapkigen Chepkwony (Kapkongeluk) of Kitoben Village, Chepakundi, Olenguruone. Amato Ward, Kuresoi south sub- county, Nakuru County, Kuresoi Sub County.

Johnson was husband of Mrs. Dorothy Sigel Korir (Rt Col. Meshak Birgen – Kapsichoi). Father of Robert Korir (Catherine – Muiruri), Angela Korir Musyoki -(Musyoki) and Noah Korir.

He was a brother of Rosina Kuto (Giraeng) Patrick (Pauline- Kapsato), Stanley (Emily – Kapchemurtoi) Jairo (Caroline – Kapkipng’erichi), Mary (Gabriel), David (Dr Alice Kones – Kapyorya), Peter (Grace – Kamatelong) Josephine (John – Kapsolit) Susan (the late Daniel- Kapchombir) and The late Ezekiel.

He was nephew of the Kapkong’eluk family brother in-law to many, cousin to many, uncle to many, grandpa of many, and A Friend to many.

The cortege will leave Eldoret on 13th October 2025 at 10am for burial at his home in Olenguruone on 14th October 2025.
