Joshua Kimata Thuku

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Joshua Kimata Thuku on 6th March 2026 at the age of 104 years.

Son of the late Thuku Gathu and Merl Thuku.

Beloved husband of Doris Wanjiru Kimata. Loving father of Thuku & Wanja, Ndirangu & Wangechi, Mwangi & Wamuyu, Waigwa & Wairimu, Waituika Njoki, Macharia & Murugi, Njeri & Mwai, Wanjiku Kiongo and Mwaniki & Wambui.

Brother of Thuo Thuku and the late Mwangi Thuku and Waituika Thuku. Fond grandfather and great-grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Maragima, Thegu Ward, Kieni East Sub-County, Nyeri County, near Sagana State Lodge, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on Friday, 13th March 2026 at 8.00 a.m. for burial at his home in Maragima, Kieni East, starting at 10.00 a.m.
