Lawrence Okumu Elkor (Mwalimu)

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the death of Lawrence Okumu Elkor (Mwalimu) that occurred on 15th July 2025 after a short illness. He was born on 10th August 1951.

Son of the late Anthony Lowalan Elkor and the late Veronica Nyakeria Aketch.

Beloved husband of Retired Teacher Pauline Ambuka.

Father of Joseph Khatima Okumu, Josephine Khatiebi Okumu, Josphat Stephen Ambuka, Samuel Muhanji and Emmanuel Akaka Okumu.

Father-in-law of Mercy Waliaula, David Makokha, Susan Mandela and Catherine Magina.

Loving grandfather of Purity, Daniel, Enoch, Rachael, Abigael, Javan, Deborah, Hadassah and Eliana.

The funeral service and burial will be on Saturday 26th July 2025 at his home in Mawa Village, Lwandeti Ward, Lugari Sub-county.
