Lay Canon Ruth Obuyanzi Mactolo
With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the death of Lay Canon Ruth Obuyanzi Mactolo of Kiwanja Ndege, Sinoko Village, Bungoma County, which occurred on 8th December 2025.
She was daughter of the late Nelson Obando and the late Romonah Obando of Maseno, wife of Hezron Mactolo. Mother of Collins & Rose Ojuku, Charles & Aishling Inwani, Samson & Dorcas Asanga, Amos (senior) & Prisca Kabole, the late Maureen Omala, Pamela & George Obel. Stepmother of Kezia, Rebecca,Amos (junior), the late Nelson, among others. Grandmother of Yvonne, Lavendar, Queenville, Tyrese, Andre, Chloe, Alden, Sherfyne, Laban, Dylan, Craig, Curtis, Isabelle and Abigail among others.
Sister of Grace Mara, Margaret Muyale, the late Esther Kiziili, Mary Ojiambo, the late Absalom Naniero, the late Rose Asamidane Obando, the late Professor Joy Obando and James Mutonyi.
Sister in law of the late Rebecca Omido, Dr Margaret Mwangi, the late Zedekiah Omukoko, the late Laban Akolo, Rhoda Aluso, Josephine Sawe and Lorna Wataku.
Daily meetings are being held at her home in Kiwanja Ndege from 4.00PM.
The requiem service will be held on Thursday, 18th December 2025 at ACK St. Crispins Cathedral, Bungoma at 12.00 noon.
Burial will take place on Friday, 19th December 2025 at her home in Kiwanja Ndege from 9:00AM.
