Leonard Wambugu Muchemi

We regret to announce the passing of Leonard Wambugu Muchemi (M.D. Jolemac Fire Protection) on 2nd September 2025.

He was born to the late Sospeter Muchemi and the late Miriam Wanjiku Muchemi. He was a son-in-law of the late Erastus and Wangari Mukuha.

He was a loving husband of Lucy Wanjiku and father of Catherine Wanjiru, Florence Wangari and Matthew Muchemi.

He was a caring brother of the late Jackson Maina, the late Joyce Wamaitha, Virginia Wambui, the late Stanley Ndirangu, the late Ann Wangari, Joseph Waithaka, John Mwangi and Lucy Wanjira.

He was a father-in-law of Ali Kimani, Toppy Karisa and Lyanne Wangui and a loving grandfather of Andrew, Nevin and Hania.

Daily meetings are held at his residential home Buruburu phase 5 extension house number 151.

A memorial service will be on Tuesday 9th September 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Buruburu I from 11.00am.

The cortege will leave Jamii Nursing Home Karatina on Thursday 11th September 2025 9.00am for a requiem mass Kimahuri Catholic Church, thereafter burial will take place on the same day at his home in Kimahuri, Mitero Village Nyeri County.

Leonard will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends.
