Lucas Onkoba Okeyo

It is with great sorrow and acceptance of God’s will we announce the demise of retired senior teacher Lucas Onkoba Okeyo, which occurred on Tuesday, March 12th 2024 after long battle with illness.

Husband of Racheal Nyaboke and beloved dad of Stella, Zipporah (Florence), Nyambati, the late Jared, Sister Prisca, Damaris and Benard.

Son of the late Lawrence Okeyo and the late Clemencia Mong’ina (Sandimu).

Brother of Nyakundi, the late Nyambati, Hellen, Ogeto, Kerubo, Okara, Orina, Nyamweya and Everline.

Father in-law of Rose, Abinet, Joshua, Wilfred and George: Grandfather of Samwel, Nyamburi, Anasi, Griffin, Emmanuel, Brigitte, Nyanduko, Okeyo, Michelle, Bravin and Ellie.

Uncle of the Moogi’s, the Obwang’i’s, Nyambati’s, Sylvia, Nyaboke, Nyanchama’s, Linet, Hudson, Edna, .
Vincent, Irene, Masasi, Nyatangi and many more.

Cousin of Nicodemus Nyambati, Nyambati,Nyangenya, Anthony, Douglas, Ogeto’s, Charles, Osiemo, Ambrose and many more.

In-law of  Late Samwel, Zablon, Mokeira, Gesare, Nyakundi, Kerore. Semo of Otuke and Kerore.

Korera of Makori, Ngoe, the late Moturi, Nyanchoka, the late George.

Major fundraising will be held today Tuesday 19th March 2024 at his home Botana Village, Biticha, Nyamira County.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his home, Botana, for daily mass, prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Ichuni Mission Hospital Morgue on 21st March 2024 for a night vigil at his home. Burial is set for Friday 22nd March 2024 at his home, Mwamoogi, Botana village, Nyamira County.
