First Anniversary

It is tough to believe that it’s been a year since you left us, and even more difficult to put into words the incredible chasm your passing has left. Not a day has gone by when we haven’t felt the immense void you left behind.

Today we choose to not only honor your memory, but also remember the incredible soul that you were. You were determined and strong-willed, always encouraging those around you and bringing positivity even amid challenge. You were kind, and compassionate to a fault – frequently going out of your way to help even strangers. You were full of joy, loved laughter, loved people, and connected easily with everyone, regardless of their status or class. You cherished family, valued education, and instilled values of hard work and fortitude in those you met.

Our hearts bleed because you are physically absent, but we celebrate that your spirit lives on in the lives of those you touched. We therefore vow to keep your legacy alive, to cherish each moment, to love fiercely, and to live with the same passion and kindness that defined you. May your memory  be a blessing that shines brightly in our lives.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our friends and family who stood by us during our time of grief, offering support, comfort, and unwavering love Your presence and kindness helped us give our beloved mother, grandmother and friend the befitting send-off she deserved, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Until we meet again, know that you are deeply missed, eternally loved, and never forgotten.
