We regret to announce the passing on of Mama Keresensia Moraa Makori, which occurred on 14th August 2025 at Kenyatta National Hospital.
Daughter of the late Onsare Mekenye and the late Mama Sigara Onsare. Sister of Concepta, Agnes. and the late Priscah. Sister-in-law of the late Omundi, the late Obonyo, and Jeriah Nyaboke.
Beloved wife of Mzee John Makori Otwori. Co-wife of Fransisca Banchiri. A loving mother of Jorame, Callen, Azenath, Gerald. and Geoffrey. Step-mother of Brian,Victor, and Verah.
Mother-in-law of Christine. Hon. Evelyn Ogendo, Yobesh, Fred (KRA). Dorice, the late Risper, Ruth, Winfridah, and Hon. Ronald Achira.
Aunt of Obadiah (USA), Bogomba, Florence, the late Ombasa, the late Hezekiah, Hosea, Simei, Otwori, Nyandwaro, Evans, Gachanja, among others.

Her body is lying at Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary. Preparations are ongoing at her home in Kisii and at Jorame’s residence in Syokimau, Nairobi.
The main fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 26th August 2025, at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, starting from 5:00 p.m.
The cortege will leave Nairobi on Thursday, 28th August 2025, for an overnight vigil at her home. The burial will take place on Friday, 29th August 2025, at her home in Bomachoge Chache, Kimai Village, Nyaisero Sub-Location, Sengera Location, Gucha Sub-County, Kisii County.
