Mum, One year ago, you suddenly departed from me, and took a piece of me with you.

The tears still flow and the pain seems never-ending.

Not a day goes by when you are not on my mind.

I miss our silly inside jokes, seeing the world through your eyes, your friendship and the safe haven you always provided for me.

You always said where you are is where home is and I have never felt more lost and more alone.

I long for the day God will mercifully call me home and I will see you again, and have relief from this pain. You know you are everything to me, and you know I love you, ALWAYS.

May your soul rest. May your soul be joyful. Remembered, loved and dearly missed by your child Abi Anakalo.
