It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Martha Wangari Mukira, former Director Ministry of Fisheries Nakuru.
Martha was born on 3rd January 1956 in Tetu Constituency Nyeri County to the late John Gachoya Thuku and the late Me!tilde Nyambura Gachoya.
She was the beloved wife of Samuel Mukira Githaiga and loving mother of Lawrence Ken Githaiga, Theresia Anne Gathoni and John Bosco Gachoya.
She was sister of Michael Thuku, the late Jinnaries Murigu, Deodata Wanjiru, Margaret Wahito, the late Immaculate Wambui and Joseph Maim.
Sister in law of the late ConsolataWanjiru, late Margaret Waruguru, Alice Njoki Mathenge, the late John Ngunjiri, Mr & Mrs Joseph Mainah, the late Angelica Warukira, Peter Wangondu, Mr & Mrs Simon Wamwondwe, Mary Wangari Kamau and Mr & Mrs Francis Kingori.
Mother in law of George Gaita.
In-law of Timothy Gaita Maina and Grace Wanja Maina.
Doting grandmother of Mila Grace Wanja and Timothy Luka Maina. She was auntie to many.
The cortege leaves Jocham Hospital for a funeral service at Infant Jesus Catholic Church Mtwapa at 10.00am, thereafter burial will take place at her residence in Mtwapa, Ndonya Kilifi County.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at their home in Mtwapa.
