Mary Wambui Nguri

Born: 12th February 1941 – Rested: 23rd October 2025 

With humble hearts, we announce the passing on of Mary Wambui Nguri who went to be with the Lord on 23rd October 2025 after a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Nguri and the late Christina Gachambi.

She was the mother of the late Raymond Ayieko, Lawrence Nguri & Stellah Nguri (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the late Victor Nanguku, and George Kamau (formerly of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations) & Agnes Kamau.

She was the sister of the late George Kamau, the late Paul Wanyoike, Lucy Mwega, the late Teresia Njoki, Wanjiku Waititu,Antonia Nyaciuma, Fidelis Gicharu, the late Thomas Mbugua, Victoria Chibe, Kevina Litaba and Celestine Kimani.

Beloved grandmother of Patrick & Ebony, Wambui Nguri, Wambui Kamau, Precious Rachel, Wacera Kamau, Mercyline, Maureen, Joseph, Rita and Michael. She was a cousin, aunt and friend to many.

Daily meetings are being held at her home in Mwea (Mang’u).

The cortege leave Montezuma Funeral Home (Kabati) on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at 8.00am. The funeral service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Mwea Village (Mang’u), Kiambu County from 9.00am. She will be laid to rest at her home on the same date.
