It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maurice Harun Gitau of KeyWest, Ambala Road, Nyamakima, which occurred on Sunday the 15th February 2026 suddenly at his Loresho Residence Nairobi.

Father of Nathan Watitu Gitau of Kiota School, Karen.

Son of the late John Watitu and Nancy Njeri of Loresho Estate Nairobi. Brother of Anne Nyokabi Purnell of Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA). Nephew of Senator David and Beatrice Musila, late Susan Wangui, Muiruri wa Nyokabi of Lowell, Ma, Abraham Makima (NKU), Winnie Kamande (USA), Pastor Janet Nginyo, Danson Githumbi, late Wanjiru, Gathiuni, Gichuhi and Betty.

Cousin of Eng. Francis Musila, Aaron, Dr Nyokabi, Mull, Aaron Gitau, John both of Lowell, Ma, Greg Mwaura Muiruri, Ruth, Racheal Makima (UK), late Hurmphery and Lennie.

Cousin of the Kamandes, the Nginyos, Githumbis,Wanjirus, Gichuhi’s and Gathiunis.

Brother In-law of Lamont’s Purnell of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The body is lying at Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi and funeral service to Follow at Langata Cemetery same day 25th, Wednesday, 2026 from 8:30am and burial at the same place.
