With hearts full of love and profound sadness, the Management and Council of the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) together with the family of the late Mr. Wycliffe Wawire Wasike wishes to announce his death which occurred on 30th December, 2025. At the time of his demise, he was the Director, Education Management Directorate, at the Kenya Education Management Institute.
Mr. Wasike was the devoted husband of Pastor Phylis Njeri Wawire, and a loving father of Hope Lyaka Wawire, Esther Nekesa Wawire and Ivan Wawire.
He was the son of the late Tom Wasike and Norah Lyaka Wasike, and the son-in-law of Nathaniel Mama Kaniaru and Mary Nyakeru Maina.
He was the brother of Shadrack, Rodgers, Dennis, Vitalis, Concepta, Ruth, Joiner, Lydia, the late Leah, Agnes, Gladys, Violet, the late Colleta, Janet and Jeska.
He also faithfully served as a Senior Pastor of Kiamumbi Deliverance Church.
Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Kiamumbi Estate, Kiambu, for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege leaves the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 15th January, 2026. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 17th January, 2026 at his rural home in Misemwa Village, Muliro Sub-Location, Ndaiu Location, Bungoma County
