Appreciation
On behalf of the family of Professor Godfrey Nsereko Lule, we wish to express our deepest gratitude to all who stood with us during the difficult time of the passing of our beloved wife, mother, auntie, friend, and colleague, Mrs. Elizabeth Dorcus Namyenya Nsereko Lule.
We are profoundly grateful to His Excellency the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, His Majesty the King of Buganda, Ronald Mutebi II, and Her Royal Highness Sylvia Nagginda Luswata, for their messages of condolence, financial generosity and presence. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Anita Among, and to the Parliament of Uganda for their immense participation and financial generosity. We thank the Ministers from Uganda, including Hon. Joice Ssebugwawo, who read the President’s message, General Katumba Wamala, Hon. Members of the Pyliament of Uganda, and the Commissioner General of URA, John Musinguzi Rujoki.
Ne thank Retired Bishop Mutebi and the clergy of St. Andrew’s Church, Bukoto, and All Saints Cathedral, Ivikasero, for their spiritual support. We thank the Chief Justice of Kenya, Justice Martha Koome and Hon. Mr. Justice Sankale ole Kantai for their kindness. Our gratitude goes to the Provost and clergy of All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi, Retired Bishop Peter Njenga, Impact Church led by Pastor Mutana, and many others in Nairobi.
We gratefully thank all our friends and family who offered their presence, heartfelt condolences, and financial contributions. We are especially grateful to those who travelled from Nairobi to Kampala—you amazed us with your love and kindness.
We also thank the Nairobi Hospital Admitting Staff Association, the Kenya Association of Physicians, and the Gastroenterology Society of Kenya for their solidarity. Finally, we owe a special vote of thanks to the funeral committees, ably steered by Mr. James Ochieng Oduol (Senior Counsel, Kenya), Chelsie Kibirige, Dr. Edward Kasirye, and Francis Nkuwe. Your work and that of your teams were invaluable in giving our beloved wife and mother an honorable send-off.
