It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mwalimu Francis Ongoto after a long illness which occurred on Monday 16th June, 2025.

Husband of Anna Ongoto & Isabela Ongoto. Father of the late Edwin Maisiba, Syprose Moraa (USA) Innocent Ongoto, Celestine Kemunto, the late Stella Bosibori, Felister Kemuma, Judith Kerubo, Benta Kwamboka, Elder Eric Ongoto(Swissport Kenya Ltd JKIA), Walter Ongoto, Jared Ongoto, and Ruth Kwamboka.

Son of the late Conelius Nyangau & the late Yosabia Boisabi. Son-in-law of the late John Moseti & the late Paustina Moseti, the late Atandi & the late Nyaboke Atandi.

Brother of the late Zachary Nyakeri, Barnabas Achachi & Teresa Moraa. Brother-in-law of the late Elizabeth Nyakeri, the late Moraa, & Dorcas.

Nephew of Omariba, Abuya, among others. Cousin of James, Mbera, the late Achari, among others. In-law of Moseti & Atandi, among others.

Grandfather of Noreen, Nyabochoa (USA), Edwin, Drina, Emanuel, Kwamboka (USA), Dennistan, Abigael, Waren,Michelle among others.

Father-in-law of the late Priscilla, Vincent (USA), Jane Masongo, Browny, John, Ronald (SA), Michael, Caroline, and Mr. Mwita among others.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Irianyi village, Bogeka sub-location, Mogusi location.

The main fundraising will be on 24/06/25 at his home.

The cortege leaves ChristaMarriane Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 26/06/25. Funeral service will be conducted from 8.30 am on Friday 27/06/25 at St Peters Soko Primary School, along Kisii-Kisumu Road, thereafter, burial at his home-lrianyi.
