It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mwalimu John Kariuki Karebi.

Son of the late Caleb Mwangi and Peris Njeri.

Husband of Mwalimu Anne Nduta Kariuki Rtd, Father of Peris Njeri and Hon Fredrick Kinyua CECM Water and Environment Nyeri County, Patrick Mwangi and Teresa Ruguru, Pauline Waruguru and Pancras Kahiga, Dominic Mwangi and Sophia Wambui, Emmah VVambui and Jesse Simon, Catherine Nyambura and Denis Kiabi and Grace Njeri.

He is a brother of the late Wambui Kamundi of Chui, Ejidiah Nyambura Karanja of Koimbi, the late Joseph Mugaru of Nakuru, the late Gerald Njoroge of Nairobi, and Jackson Mukuha of Thika.

Grandfather of Anne Nduta,Alfred Kinyua, Alvin Kariuki, John Kerry Kariuki, Staicy Anne Nduta,Andrew Wanjaga, Nick Kariuki, Elvis Thuku, Lisa Anne Nduta, Niam Nyandia, Dylan Gitau, Kylan Kariuki, Aaron Myles and Angeline Anne. Great Grandpa of Bryce Makori Bironga.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary on Friday 21/11/2025 at 7.00am. Burial service will be held at Kiangunyi Primary School starting at 10.00am and later interment will be at family home in Kiangunyi, muguru Location, Kangema, Murang’a.

Burial and funeral arrangement meeting are happening daily from Wednesday 12th November 2025 at The Luke Hotel (Roasters) Along Thika road and at their Home in Kiangunyi Village Kangema starting at 5:30pm.
