Mwalimu Leonard Muhu Gathariki

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Leonard Muhu Gathariki, which occurred on 1st April 2026 after a short illness.

He was the beloved husband of Charity Wanjiru Muhu; a loving father of Salome, Paul, Geoffrey, and others, including the late Wambui, Milka, Virginia, and the late Stanley. He was also a proud grandfather and a friend to many.

Son of the late Paul Gathariki and the late Salome Wambui. Brother of the late Gitau, the late Waniuhi, the late Kamau, the late Njoki, the late Nyagia and Ngige.

He was also a cherished father-in-law of Ngacha and Annastacia.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Gategi, Kiserian from 5:00 pm.

The cortege leaves Unlash Funeral Home on 10th April 2026 at 9:00 am for burial at his family home in Gategi, Kiserian.
