It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Mzee Abraham Sebastian Makokha, which occurred on 28th May 2025 at his home in Elukongo Village, Marach East Location, Busia County.

Son of the late Jacob Kuchio and Arnolda Amanya.

Beloved husband of the late Marsella Makokha and Josephine Kibande. Father of Kenneth, the late Terence, the late Roystone, the late Viona, Martha, Alphonce, Agatha, James, Arnold, Angeline, Sylvia and Lucy.

Brother of the late Gerald Masibayi, late John Tindi, the late Mathew Kwena, the late Francis Asonga, the late Gregory Musundi, the late Vincent Shiranda, the late Ignatious Muyoti, the late Jim Kuchio, Cyprian Echesa, Anna Kwena, Teresa Nataba, Hellen Chituyi, the late Scholastica Tindi, the late Oda Namulanda, the late Mary Adongo, Mary Siangani and Mactilda Kuchio.

Cousin of Ongoma’s,Twartos, Ondusye’s, Ayieko’s, Otsula’s and Muyoti’s. Uncle of Prof. Aurther Kwena and others.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at his home in Elukongo Village.

The cortege will leave Francis Funeral Home in Korinda Busia on Thursday 2th June 2025 at 9.00am for mass service. Burial is scheduled to take place on 13th June 2025 at his homestead Elukongo Village.
