One Year On

Its been one year since you left us, Mum. A year of quiet moments, aching hearts, and memories that feel both distant and vividly close.Time has moved forward, but your absence remains a stillness in our lives – a space no one eke can fill.

You were the heart of our home, the steady hand, the gentle voice, our guiding light.Your love was unconditional, your strength quiet but fierce. You taught us kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. Even now, your wisdom echoes in our choices, your laughter lingers in our memories, and your love continues to guide us. Today, we remember not just the pain of losing you, but the joy of having had you. We honor your life, your legacy, and the countless ways you shaped ours.

You are missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered always. Today, 30th October 2025, we mark twenty one years since you suddenly left us. Though you are no longer physically with us, your memory will forever live on within us. In the depths of our sadness, we find solace in remembering the beautiful person you were and shall forever cherish the memories of the love, joy and happiness that you brought into our lives as an adoring Wife, Mum, Daughter, Sister and Friend.

Fondly remembered and greatly missed by your husband Kinyanjui, children Maingi, Maina and Mwangi, parents, relatives and many friends.

In this day and age when society is dismissive of such tenets as patience, gratitude, integrity, authenticity and the humanity of leadership, we continue to celebrate these as espoused by your life.

As we aspire to emulate them, we thank God for your daringly different leadership in that arena of authoritarian conformity.
