Remembering Baba

1928 – 2007

He never looked for praises

He was never one to boast

He just went quietly working

For the ones he loved the most

His dreams were seldom spoken

His wants were very few

And most of the times his worries

Went unspoken too

He was there a firm foundation

Through all the storms of life

A sturdy hand to hold on to

In times of stress and strife

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad

One of our greatest blessings

The man we all called Dad

Dear Baba, you will be

in our hearts

because there you are still alive

Always

………..10 years

It was at 11am on Thursday, 11th February 2016, when the Lord picked you, the Best Flower in His Garden, to be with Him. We accepted because we knew where you went.

Still in our Hearts / 1st Anniversary

July 6, 1948 – February 9, 2016

Mum, it is now exactly one year since you left us to be with the Lord on that cold, rainy morning.

Over time, the pain of your absence has subsided with memories of you still in our hearts. There is not a single day that goes by that we do not think about you. Sometimes it is in the memory of something you said or when we simply remember the way you used to dress-up always turning heads wherever we went.

We treasure the time you shared with us. We will forever miss your love, wise counsel and tenacity in everything you did. Though life will never be the same without you; through your hardwork God has continued to provide and care for us faithfully.

We thank all our relatives and friends who stood with us during that trying time – your love and support as we planned to give Mum a decent send-off was appreciated. We however give a special mention to Aunty Silper Okore & family, Mr. Marcel Grossenbacher (Laratec Switzerland), Mr & Mrs. Joseph Wambua, Jennifer Wambua & family, Christine Ouko, Mum’s dear friend Martha Kwasa, Aunty Jane Achola & family, Mr & Mrs. Wycliffe Ogallo & family, Susan Awino Okoto, Mr & Mrs Sammy Okoth & family, Christine Okoth, Awala, Daniel Okoth, Belinda Kamar, Jeff & Linda (GNL Events Kisumu), Aunty Dorothy Agedo & Uncle Tajo, Mr & Mrs Robert Odette, Regina Kanyi, Titus Kibet (Rivatex), our neighbours at Mugoya South C, Mike Oriang’, Chief Nyamollo and all our Nyakach Jimo relatives, Mum’s relatives from Nyahera and Ahero, Susan Mzame (Rift Events Nakuru), staff at Equator Hospital with special mention of Sister Alice, Pastor Gordon Rogo and all our Trinity Chapel Kisumu members.

Mum you will be forever cherished by your loving children Crispin, Archie, Asenath and loving granddaughter Benita.

Peacock Jaber, rest in peace in God’s loving embrace till we meet again. Amen.

Forever in our hearts

It has been one long year without Francis Kamau; our hearts still broken to have lost him.

Painfully absent; forever cherished.

Missing his love & kindness.

We thank the Almighty God for the life of FK,

the joy and the love he brought to our lives. We thank God for His Grace this far.

Dearly missed by Rose, daughters Splendor & Divine, entire family and friends.

To our two families, the Church and our friends; we thank you for walking with us, forever grateful

In Loving Memory of our Dear Mother

If flowers grow in heaven,

Lord, please pick a bunch for me.

Then place them in my Mother’s arms

and tell her they’re from me.

Tell her that I love and miss her

and she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek and hold

her for awhile

Remembering her is easy,

I do it everyday.

But there is an ache within my heart

That will never go away.

Mom, it has been five years since you left us. We miss you now, our hearts are sore. As time goes by, we miss you more.

We are remembering you on this day, and are trying to take comfort from so many memories. You are deeply missed by your loving husband, Bishop Joshua Chege Kahihia; your children Ellen Nyokabi, Miriam Wairimu, Lilian Wambui and Conor Burgess, Eunice Wambui and Thoya Karisa, Ruth Nyawira and Anthony Mberia; and grandchildren Andrew Jayden, Olivia Njeri, Alexander Mutugi, Henry Chege and Nia Kadzo.

We love and miss you.
