In Loving Memory of our Dear Mother

If flowers grow in heaven,

Lord, please pick a bunch for me.

Then place them in my Mother’s arms

and tell her they’re from me.

Tell her that I love and miss her

and she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek and hold

her for awhile

Remembering her is easy,

I do it everyday.

But there is an ache within my heart

That will never go away.

Mom, it has been five years since you left us. We miss you now, our hearts are sore. As time goes by, we miss you more.

We are remembering you on this day, and are trying to take comfort from so many memories. You are deeply missed by your loving husband, Bishop Joshua Chege Kahihia; your children Ellen Nyokabi, Miriam Wairimu, Lilian Wambui and Conor Burgess, Eunice Wambui and Thoya Karisa, Ruth Nyawira and Anthony Mberia; and grandchildren Andrew Jayden, Olivia Njeri, Alexander Mutugi, Henry Chege and Nia Kadzo.
