It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Retired Elder Joyce Mbiro Colley on January 6th, 2017 at PCEA Chogoria Hospital after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Mrs Esther Mbee Eliud and Mr Eliud Muchiri Gakuru. Loving wife of Mr Colley Njeru Samson. Mother of Murithi, Kaaria, Kirimi, Kawira, Muthoni and Nkatha. Mother in law of Mutembei Mugendi.

Daughter in law of the late Samson Bundi Kiome and Naomi Samson. Sister of Emily, Mugambi, Miriti, Kagendo, Rebecca, Igoki, Mukwanyaga, the late Nyaga, Cangu and Mundia. Sister in law of Mbae, Beth, Jedida, Gaaji, Njeru, Mukwanjeru, Karimi, the late Njagi, and the late Lydia Muyia. Grandmother and beloved aunt of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her Gituja Home.

The cortege leaves PCEA Chogoria Hospital on Thursday, January 12th 2017 at 9am for a funeral service at PCEA Gituja Church starting at 10am. The burial will take place at her home in Gituja Village thereafter.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Priscah Nyamoita Kimori which occurred on January 4th 2017.

Wife of the late Jeremiah Kimori. Daughter of the late Moturi and the late Sarah.

Mother of of Annah, Joyce, Nyarinda, Charles, Tom, Pamella, Mary, the late Salome, Gladys, Moturi, the late Margaret, Samuel, and Evans.

Grandmother of Mboga, Timothy, Geoffrey, Lewis, Bisieri, Nyairo, Christine, Salim, Margaret, Kyalo, Brian, Bosibori, Kimori, among others. She was a great grandmother of many.

Mother in law of Ndege, Isoe, Joel, the late Suleiman, Nguma, Mary, the late Lister, Gladys, Christine, Centrine, among others. Co-wife of late Catherine, the late Masese and the late Areba, Nyanchama, Nyamweno.

Auntie of Thomas, Nicholas, Samuel, Josephine, Arisi, Oigo, Mochari, Marita, Meroka, Mogoi, Kenya, Makori, Bonareri, Queen, Hebisiba among others. Sister in law of Truphena Nyachuba, the late Nyamoita, the late Catherine, Kemuma, Hellena.

Burial will take place on Friday January 13th 2017 at her residence Nyabite Market, Nyamira Town.

James Muhindi Kaharuka “Matigari”

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing onto glory of Mr. James Muhindi “Matigari” Kaharuka, after a short illness on the 7th January 2017 at Aga Khan University Hospital.

He was the Director and proprietor of Matigari General Merchant and Transporters. Matigari was an industrious, great man of courage, wisdom and strength. He loved his family, friends and was a blessing to many.

Son of the late Antony Kaharuka Kangara and Tabitha Nyaguthii of Gakawa sub-county, Ragati farm Nanyuki, Loving husband of Rose Wamuyu Muhindi and cherished father of Faith Nyaguthii Muhind; (C.U.E.A), Maryann Muthoni (Pioneer Girls’ School), and Joyann Njoki (Thika Road Academy). Brother of Charles M. Kaharuka (Charma Enterprises), the late Irene N. Kaharuka, the late Justus G. Kaharuka, Munyiri Kaharuka (Montage Sales & Services), Agnes N. Mburu, Rachel Wairimu, Mitharno (Makoni enterprises), Nelius Nyakinyua (Tigithiprimary school), Isaac F. Waithaka (Qatar) and Rewel Kioni (Matigari General Merchant and Transporters). The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday 14th January 2017 at 7am, and he will be laid to rest at his Ragati farm.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Ngure Kairu Njenga of Safaricom Limited – Mombasa Region, which occurred on Saturday, January 7th, 2017.

Beloved son of Anne Messi Kairu and Francis Njoroge Njenga. Brother of Leon Njenga, step brother of Chris-Hani,Tracy Wachira, Derrick Wachira. Grandson of the Late Margaret Mwalagho & Arch. Ngure Kairu and Mr. John Njenga Wamwea & Mrs. Rosemary Njenga.

Family and Friends are meeting at the Mombasa Village in Mombasa and at the Wilson Airport Portview Restaurant in Nairobi daily from 5pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. Wife of Leonard Thirikwa. Daughter of the late Duncan Wanjoya Gathinyu and the late Grace Wangari Wanjoya. Daughter in law of the late Wilson Gichure and late Waruguru Gichure.

Mother of Wilson Maina Thirikwa (Dodhia Packaging Ltd), Andrew Gichohi Thirikwa (Ongata Rongai), Agnes Waruguru Ndhunya (Kaputei), John Wanyoya Thirikwa (Allpack Industries), James Mwangi Thirikwa (Land Mawe Ltd) and Charles Kimunyi Thirikwa (Citi Hoppa). Mother in law of Nancy Muthoni, Phyllis Watiri, Maureen Mwende and James Ndhuya. Sister of Mary Njoki Kiongo, the late James Mwangi Wanjoya and the late Gerald Gatumbu Wanjoya. The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home on Thursday 12th January 2017 at 6.30am funeral service will be conducted at AIPCA Mairo Inya-Shauri Church in Nyahururu and later burial at their family farm in Ngai-Ndeithia on the same day.
