James Muhindi Kaharuka “Matigari”
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing onto glory of Mr. James Muhindi “Matigari” Kaharuka, after a short illness on the 7th January 2017 at Aga Khan University Hospital.
He was the Director and proprietor of Matigari General Merchant and Transporters. Matigari was an industrious, great man of courage, wisdom and strength. He loved his family, friends and was a blessing to many.
Son of the late Antony Kaharuka Kangara and Tabitha Nyaguthii of Gakawa sub-county, Ragati farm Nanyuki, Loving husband of Rose Wamuyu Muhindi and cherished father of Faith Nyaguthii Muhind; (C.U.E.A), Maryann Muthoni (Pioneer Girls’ School), and Joyann Njoki (Thika Road Academy). Brother of Charles M. Kaharuka (Charma Enterprises), the late Irene N. Kaharuka, the late Justus G. Kaharuka, Munyiri Kaharuka (Montage Sales & Services), Agnes N. Mburu, Rachel Wairimu, Mitharno (Makoni enterprises), Nelius Nyakinyua (Tigithiprimary school), Isaac F. Waithaka (Qatar) and Rewel Kioni (Matigari General Merchant and Transporters). Son-in-law of the late Mr. & Mrs. Geoffrey Wandaka of Ngai-ini village. Brother-in-law of George Mwangi„ Mercy Wanjiru, Esther Wangu, Richard Mathenge, Rosaline Nyaguthii, Samuel Maina and Eng. Mburu. Loving uncle of Antony Ogao, Oscar Omiti, Antony Kaharuka, Dr. Juliet Maina, Jonathan Munyiri , Lilian Moraa, Abigael Nyambura, Antony Gitonga, Linet Nyaguthii, Mburu, Tabitha, Dennis, Maurine Waithaka among many others.
Burial arrangements are on-going at Roasters Inn Hotel starting at 6pm daily and at his Ragati Farm, Nanyuki.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday 14th January 2017 at 7am, and he will be laid to rest at his Ragati farm.
