It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptances of Allah’s will that we announce the passing on of Rai Mehindi Mohamed Ebrahim Dahya on December 16th 2016 in Kisumu, Kenya.

Son of the late Ebrahim Dahya, Beloved Husband of Shirin Mehindi Dahya Loving Father to AlyKhan, Khalid and Natasha.

 

The Funeral Service will take place on Sunday 18th of December 2016 At the Aga Khan Jamathkhana Kisumu at 3pm there after the cortege will leave for the burial at the Ismailia Cemetery at 4pm.

A wonderful soul that will always be remembered and cherished may you rest in eternal peace. AMEEN

Three years have gone and there is still an overwhelming despondency within our hearts. JT you accomplished the goal to live life in full just like the Apostle Paul whose goal in life was not only to start well but to finish well.

JT you were a selfless man, always looking out for other people and this verse speaks directly about your character.

 

You were a compassionate person to your family and the community at large, always willing to lend a helping hand, a crying shoulder or a listening ear.

 

You gave altruistically upholding the words of Jesus Christ. This year we celebrate friendship and we celebrate You.

 

JT you are deeply loved and missed by your wife Mary Waitherero Tharuma and children Eliena-Rose Njambi Tharuma, Peter-Aaron Munga Tharuma and Elisha-Joyce Muthoni Tharuma; the entire Munga Family and Claudio Family.

 

Thank you for shairing your life with us, without you, we will not not the love of God for us for you are a blessing in our eyes.

It is with humble submission to God’s will that we announce the passing on of George Njuguna Maina (Baba Chiku) of Kenyatta University on Tuesday, 29th November 2016 at the hands of gangsters. He hails from Gathiga Village, Kabete Subcounty, Kiambu County. Husband of Margaret Wambui.

Father of Virginia Wanjiku of Gakuyo Real Estate, Geoffrey Karanja (USA), Lucy Njuhi, and Sharon Waithira of Samnel Academy. Son of Geoffrey Karanja (Maina Mbiro) and Virginia Wanjiku Karanja. Son-in-IawV of the late Francis Gachomba (Mbiri) and the late Lucy Njuhi Gachomba. Brother of Robert Chege, Moses Karori (KK), Joseph Njoroge, David Njenga, Ruth VVaithira, Jackson Ngotho, and Leonard Muchendu. Brother-in-law of Rachael Wanjiku, Anne Mumbi, Ruth Njoki, Esther Wambui, IGeoffrey Munyua (Siambo),Virginia Watiri, Eunice Gachoka and Moses Karori.

 

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Gathiga Village for burial arrangements. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Thursday 8th December 2016 at 9am for burial at Gathiga Village. Funeral service will commence at 11am. 

Mr Simeon Oyaro Lucas

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Lucas Family announces the death of Mr Simeon Oyaro Lucas of Masabo Village, Gesusu, Kisii County which occurred on Wednesday December 7, 2016.

Son of the late Lucas Ombutora and the late Atta Oraba. Husband of Jeriah Mong’ina and Mary Kwamboka. Brother of Japhet, Moraa, Ondieki, Zablon, Nyanchama, Nyabonyi, Isaiah and Anyona, Omariba, the late Masese, the late Ontwoma, Obwagi, among others.

 

Father of Philip, Jackson (Metropol), Grace, Evans, Atera, Alice, Tom, Maranga, Ontwoma, Sarange and Lucas.

Father in law of Jane, Esther, Risper, Orpha, Lilian, Diana, Mary, late Bikeri and Bisonga.

 

Brother in law of Matoke, Elizabeth, Alice, Priscila, Teresa. late Moni, late Nchuri, late Tinega, late Okeyo, Mochoronge, Keraita among others. Korera of Magaki, Kihuga, Mironga, Nyantari (all deceased), Omosa, Nchore among others. Uncle of late Segera, George, Kennedy (USA), Rashid, late Don, Joyc (USA), Micah (USA), Orina, Obara, Abel, Motari, Ontomwa (KCB), Frank, Dr Tinega, among others. The cortege leaves Nyangena Mortuary on Thursday December 15, 2016 at 1pm. Burial will take place on Friday December 16, 2016 at his Masabo home, Gesusu starting 10am.

 

Brian Muraguri Muthoni

It is with deep sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Brian Muraguri Muthoni after a long illness bravely borne.

 

He was the beloved son of Ms Ann Muthoni Mwangi of Lenana School. Loving brother of Hellen Wangui Muthoni of State Law Office. Granson of Polycarp Mwangi Kaburi and Helina Nyandia Mwangi of Karuthi village, Othaya. Nephew of Mr and Mrs Ngatia, Mr and Mrs Maina (Far East Motors Limited), Gichingo, Mr and Mrs Mathenge (Kagere), Mr and Mrs Mwaura (Kamakwa), Mr and Mrs Muraguri (Mombasa), kanji, Gichuki and Ann.

 

Loving Cousin to Mwangi, Nyawira, Muriuki, Dennis, Maina, Karen, Mukami, NJoki, Kariuki, Fidelis, Felix, Pdyte elry Amos, Manasseh and Dennis. Great friend to many.

 

Family and friends are meeting at Hot Dishes Restaurant next to City Hall, Nairobi, from 6pm on Thursday 15/ 12/2016.

 

The Cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary at 6am and proceed to his grandfather’s farm at Karuthi village, Othaya where the funeral service will be held on Saturday 17th December 2016 from 11.00 am.

Daughter of the late Elasto Wairia and Gladys Mweru. Loving and devoted husband of David Waititu (Girigaca). Mother of Elasto Wairia (Kates Apartments), Gladys Wambui, Lydiah Wanjiku and Cyrus Kinyua (Cushman Wakefield Excellerate). Sister of Margaret Wangeci Muhinyia, the late Mary Mbuki, Grace Wairimu (Ministry of Lands —Nyeri), Stephen Kariuki (Kates Apartments) Gachoki Wairia (2NK Sacco), Wageni Wairia (Fairdeal Hardware — Gikomba).

 

Friends and relatives are meeting for Prayers and Funeral arrangements at Marble Ark Hotel (Next to Fire station, Tom Mboya Street, Nairobi) from 6.00pm and also at her home Witima village, Othaya. 

 

The cortege leaves Mukurweini sub-district Hospital on 17/12/2016 at 9am for church service at AIPCA Witima church and thereafter burial at her residence Kiyu village Witima.

Samuel Gitonga Wachira

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Samuel Gitonga Wachira. Son to the late Josephat Wachira and the late Mariam Wangeci. He was a step son to Janet Wanjugu Wachira. He was the loving husband of Esther Wanjiru Gitonga. Father of Joyce Muthoni Mathenge (KRA) and Mathenge Wanderi (Businessman), Peter Wachira (Keekorok Lodge) and Catherine Nyambura, Mary Wangeci and Justus Bai (Shelter Afrique), Grace Watetu (Silver Springs), Ekrah Ngima and Joseph Waweru (Businessman), the Late Rebecca Wanjira, David Ndungu (Broadcom Communications) and Eunice Wangui, Robert Mathenge (DoD) and Anne Magiri. He was a step brother of Mbauni, Wanjiru, Kariuki and Muthoni and a brother in-law to Ekrah Ndiang’ui (Karangia), Paul Ndung’u (Ndung’u, Njoroge and Kwach Advocates), Isaiah Ndung’u (Narok), Erastus Mathenge (Nyeri) and Eunice Nyagaki (Kinoo). Loving grand-father of Wanderi & Irene, Nyawira and Tony, Jackie, Anthony, Maureen, Michelle, Njoki, Shem, Henry, Cynthia, Mark, Linda, Alvan, Mike, Wachira, Gitonga, Marvin, Felix and Maryann. He was a great grand-father of six.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Mathenge Wanderi’s residence and at All Saints Cathedral from Tuesday to Thursday from 5:30p.m. The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary (Nyeri) on Saturday 17th December 2016 at 7:30 a.m. for a burial service and interment at his home in Ruai, Ngobit Location, Gatarakwa from 10a.m

Beloved daughter of the late Ex Snr Chief Semekiah Wakiaga Okinda and Mama Beldina Akeyo Wakiaga, step daughter to the Late Philgona Ocham, Hellida Otieno and Agnes Anyango of Gunda Village, Kaswanga, Rusinga Island, Homabay County. Beloved Sister of !scar Achayo, Damaris Otuga, Peris Apanya, Hellen, Ponella, Judith Adoyo, Rose Anyango, Rosemary of USA , Linda, the late Joel and Rispher Auma, Musa, Sammy, James, David of Italy, Eric of USA, Dedan of Kisumu, Wycliffe of Homa Bay, Mzee of Mbita ferry.
