It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of David Mwobobia Gitonga on June 18,2017, after a tragic road accident at Subuiga, Meru- Nanyuki Road.

Son of Wilson M’ Itonga and Jennifer M’Itonga. Loving husband of Rhodah Gitonga. Caring father of Kennedy Mugambi Gitonga, Tony Muriuki Gitonga and Kelvin Murega Gitonga. Grandfather of Tracy Kendi & Trevor Kimathi. Father-in-law of Doreen Muriuki Mugambi and Marion Mwaniki Muriuki Brother of Isaiah Mutwiri, Josephat Muthaura, Stephen Marebe, Thomas Ruri, the late Joseph Koome, the late John Kairi, Charity Gituma, Pauline Gikunda, Mark Mungiria, Frederick Murangiri & Douglas Nturibi. Son-in-law of Jeremiah M’Rimbere Kimbui and Sarah M’Rimbere. Brother-in-law of Martha Gatitu, Kaunyangi Mutiga, the late Daniel Muthamia, Margaret Kanee, Mary Mwini, the late Steve Mutirithia, David Kithinji, Cyprian Gikunda, Gituma Gitonga and Francis Mwingirwa. Nephew, cousin, and uncle of the larger M’ Itonga & M’ Rimbere family.

Family & friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at Sanvalencia, Anniversary Towers; Maziwa Methodist Church,  Kamiti Road Nairobi; Camflames Gitimbine-Meru and at his Ruiga home starting from 5.30pm.

A memorial service will be held at Maziwa Methodist Church, on Monday 26th June 20I 7 starting from 2pm.The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Tuesday 27th June 2017 at 9am for a funeral service at Ruiga Methodist Church followed by burial at his Ruiga Home.

Joseph Kairu Mwangi (Jokai )

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our Dad Joseph Kairu Mwangi (Jokai) on 17th June 2017 of Jokai Electronics Limited (Nyamakima). Son of the late Elijah Mwangi Karuri and Florence Wambui Mwangi.

He is survived by his beloved wife Eugenia Wanjiku Kairu and his children Florence Wambui Wamwangi, Veronica Nyambura, Esther Kairu, Yvonne Njeri, Irene Wangui, Lilian Mugeci and Brayan Mwangi.

Father-in-law of John Mwangi Nderitu of Jei Lighting Limited. Brother of Peter Karithu, Esther Mugeci and the late John Maina. Grandfather of Claire Wanjiku, Collins Nderitu (Ruaraka Academy) and Clyne Kairu. Uncle of many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Timboroa Hotel, Millineum 2000 Nyamakima and at his residence in Thome (One) from 6:30pm for funeral arrangements. is The cortege leaves K.U Funeral Home on Tuesday 27th June 2017 at 8 a.m. for a mass at St Martin’s Catholic Church Nyakahura and burial thereafter at his Nyakahura Farm, K angema Sub-Country, Murang’a County.

The courtage leaves Makueni association pamoja funeral home on friday 23rd june 2017 at 9.00 am followed by the funeral service and burial at the family home Kathonzweni sub county Makueni County.

Son of the late Mwando Kimuyu and the late Nora Syongombe. Loving husband of Jane Mueni.

Father of Anthony Muasya and Brian Kimuyu.

Brother of the late David Kimuyu. Son in law of Rosalia Ndindi and Joseph Kimaru of Masii sub county. Brother in law of Evans Musyoki, Michael Muthini, Beatrice Kimuyu and Gladys Nzisa. Uncle of Matuku, Amina, Emma Muuo, Kimuyu, Mweni and Mweu. Nephew of Mbuku Kiuluku of Mtito Andei.

Son of the late Wilson Githuka and the late Peris Wanja Githuka. Husband of Margaret Wangui Mwaura. Father of George Githuka, Wanja Mwaura-Tenambergen and the late Lucy Nduta. Brother of Eunice Wangare, the late Samuel Mutari, Albert Ngotho, the late Daniel Mbugua, Lillian Wairimu, the late Danson Kariuki, James Ng’ang’a, and Lawrence Kamau. Step-brother of Tabitha Wambui and David Mwaura, and grandfather of many.
