Hannah Wanjiru Macharia

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Hannah Wanjiru Macharia of Kiroro village, Thiha sublocation, Muhito, Mukurweini Nyeri, which occurred on 18th June 2017. Daughter of the late Kariuki wa Wathia and Gladys Ngima Kariuki. Sister of Francis Wambugu Kariuki, the late Phylis Wangui Karita, Esther Wangari Gacheca and Johnson Kanyi Kariuki. Mother of Peter and Kesia Mwangi, David and Margaret Kariuki (Kiroro Investigators), Mary and David Githinji (KMTC – Nyeri), Gladys Ngima Macharia (New light Academy) and Elizabeth Wamuyu Macharia. Grandmother and great grandmother of many children.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kiroro village from 4:00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Mukureini Sub-County Hospital Mortuary on Friday 23rd June 2017 at 8:00 a.m. for PCEA Gathitu church for funeral service at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at her farm in Kiroro village.
