We, the family of Dr. Munyua Waiyaki thank our Father Almighty first and foremost for the life of our Father, Patriarch, our Pillar and our Mentor. The Almighty gave us Daktari for close to 91 years and for that we are` trulygrateful! We acknowledge and give special thanks to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya Hon. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, Her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta and Her Excellency Mama Ngina Kenyatta for your support during this time. We also wish to thank His Excellency Dr. Evans Kidero, CS Amina. Mohamed, Rt. Hon.Raila Odinga, former and present government officials who supported us in one way or another.
Our sincere thanks also goes to the Moderator of the PCEA, PCEA Kihumo Church, Loresho PCEA Church and Church of the Torch Thogoto. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Dr. Matharu, Dr. Patel and Dr. Samnakay as well as the nurses and staff of Aga Khan Hospital. We thank Mzee’s care givers at home. We are grateful to the wider Waiyaki family with special mention toTuchi Karanja Waiyaki, and the Muranga family. To all those who have supported us during this time with prayers, time and services including the PCEA Kihumo, PCEA Loresho and ACK Karen Churches, Pastor Gad, the Lee Funeral home, the various hospitality teams, the National Police Service, the staff of Daktari’s companies, the Church of Torch Thogoto, the Musa Gitau Primary school, the Regina Chaelli Catholic Church Karen, Magana Farm and all those who have supported us in one way or another, please accept our heartfelt message of thanks. We are extremely grateful to the Funeral Committee who worked tirelessly to make sure that we gave Daktari a proper and befitting send off. We also wish to thank all those who sent condolence messages, called and emailed us and all those who travelled from overseas and up country to be with us. Mrs. Gladys Onono Amollo (Nyar Gi Obenge)

1947-2017     In humility and full acceptance of God’s will, we announce the sudden death of MAMA on 2/5/2017 at Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu.
Born of the late Hezron Aluoch Okong’o & Roslida Okoth of Asembo, Miyare Village.

She was married to the late Catechist John Amollo Samba. Sister-in-law of Peter Aete, the late Jacob Samba, Leonard Obat & Sylvester Andaro. Mother of Plister Anyango Obinga, Petronila Akinyi Otieno, Pauline Samba Onyango, Hon. Senator Elizabeth Ongoro Masha, Late Thomas Obara, Dr. Otiende Amollo, Pauline Abiero Omuti, Edward Amollo, Christine Nanjira Obialor &-Joyce Jante Ochieng. Aunty of Vincent Owade,Arthur Owade,Virginia Saoke, Ben Shiaunda, Philemon Obenge & Caroline Akoth among other adoring nephews and nieces. She is survived by many adopted children, grandchildren and great grand-children.
There will be a final fundraising today the 16th day of May 2017 at Charter Hall (within City Hall), Nairobi, from 4 pm. The cortege leaves Aga Khan Mortuary Kisumu on 19th May 2017 at 9.00am for prayers at the St.Theresa Cathedral Catholic Church Kibuye commencing 10.00am.The cortege will depart for Uyoma at 12.00 Noon.

Alice Kivwea Musila

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Alice Kivwea Musila, at the Nairobi Hospital on 14th May 2017. Wife of the late Nathan Musila Mull. Mother to Hon. Senator David Musila, Kitui County, Richard Mull Musila, Lenah Mutua, Mary Musila, Jemimah Kasinga, Muthei Nzomo, and the late Grace Nduo. She will be missed dearly by her 34 grand-children and 80 great grandchildren. Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 5:30pm at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi. A fundraising meeting shall be held at the same venue on Thursday, 18th May 2017. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Saturday 20th May 2017 at 7am for a funeral service and burial at her home in Itoloni Sub-location, Migwani District, Mwingi West Constituency, Kitui County at 12 noon.

Brother of the late Oyagi, Mongare, Mary and Eucabeth. Brother-in-law of Dr.Agata, Zedekiah, Truphena, Priscilla, Bochaberi, Nyabando and Mokeira. We are saddened to announce the death of George Shenouda which occurred in the early hours of May 13th 2017 in India where he was undergoing treatment.
Funeral meetings are taking place daily at their home in Karen and at Buruburu Hornbil from tomorrow (17th May 2017) at 5.30pm.

Dad, when the flame of your candle was unexpectedly blown off on the 16/05/2003 our small world suddenly became dark. We groped in the darkness you left us in until we realized that you had lit for us our own small candles. 14 years on and our candles are still burning.
Your memories are still fresh, your smile and laughter still linger on, and your reassuring look keeps us going. You left your footprints which we still follow in this path of life. You will forever remain the best Dad God gave to us.

1 1 /10/1975 – 11/5/2017     We regret to announce the untimely demise of Alexander Mwenda Marangu which occurred on 11.05.17 at Consolata Hospital Nkubu after a short illness.

He was Chairman BOM, Ruthimitu Secondary School and Board Member Upper Hill High School. Husband of Margret Muthoni. Father of John Kamau (USA) and Anne Waceke (Strathmore University). Son of the Late Obadiah Kamau and Damaris Waceke. Son in-law of the late Benson Murigi and the late Ruth Njoki. Brother of Peter Muthondu, Josephine Wairimu, Susan Wambui, John Gitau (USA), Late Arthur Kinyanjui, David Kahonge and the Late Daniel Mbeke. Brother-in-law of Henry Njuguna, John Kamunyu, Rufus Njuguna, Samuel Gakibe, Mwaura Murigi,Ann Njeri, jemirna Wanjiku, Naomi Njambi, Ann Wanjiru and late Joyce Wambui. Uncle and friends to many.
